When this mode is turned on, it reveals the location of the device to the administrator. The only time your administrator can view the location of your iPhone or iPad is if they put your device into Managed Lost Mode. You might see a message in your settings that your business or school can monitor your internet traffic and locate your device. Supervision can only be turned on when you set up a new device. When such an iPad comes to IT support for re-installation of the profiles and we connect it to Apple Configurator then this iPad doesnt turn up in the Supervise mode of the Apple Configurator so we have to wipe it off from Prepare mode and Supervise it again.
